I've tried the prosciutto-mozzarella sandwich and italian cold cut combo sandwich and they are both delicious. Generous portion of good quality meat, bread is nice and soft with a good enough chew and the sauces used on top add so much flavor. Also tried their italian wedding soup which is also super flavorful and meatballs were nice and tender. Great place that I've been to several times; very satisfying and quick for a lunch. ”
“ Jimmy C's is an old school Italian Deli located in a strip mall off of Federal in east Boca. We showed up around 4pm and parking was readily available. Upon walking in, I immediately liked the vibe of the place. We had a bunch of delis like this in my neighborhood when I was a kid, so I definitely have a soft spot for this kind of establishment. We got a variety of items including the portobello sub with smoked mozzarella, balsamic and prosciutto, the grilled chicken salad, the Greek salad, the fried eggplant and the tuna salad. The food was pretty good. I tried a bit of everything and my favorites were the mushroom and smoked mozzarella and the fried eggplant. The salads were competent but pretty standard. I also want to mention the service which was excellent. I think the owners served us and took our order and I liked the fact that they made us feel like regulars even though it was out first visit. Jimmy C's gets 4 stars from me. Very nice place with a lot of classic Italian deli offerings. Will be back to try more stuff for sure. ”
“ I can now see why all the positive reviews have been posted for this deli and market. And I'm surprisingly in agreement with those 5-star reviews. This place was easy to find and there's limited parking right out front. There's half a dozen tables inside if you wish to dine in as we did, but they do a big takeout business as well. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. As we walked in there were daily specials including the soup of the day written in a board outside the entrance. We grabbed a couple menus and sat down at an open table to decide what to order. My husband got their daily special -- a meat loaf sandwich. It came with lettuce, tomato, and onion with Russian dressing. He chose an Italian white sub roll. The warm meatloaf pieces were an inch thick. The sandwich was huge and delicious. He could only eat half. I ordered their #7 -- prosciutto with fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers. The prosciutto is domestic, but still great. I ordered my sandwich on an Italian seeded sub roll. I loved my sandwich --- and since it was large, as well, could only manage half in one sitting. We got our drink from the cooler - - an IBC root beer. They have all sorts of drink choices including Dr Browns. You have your choice of sides with your sandwich. We both got their macaroni salad and liked that too. But the potato salad also looked good to me... along with a number of other items in their cooler. Service was warm and welcoming. The gal behind the counter greeted everyone and knew a number of the regulars by name -- and what they usually ordered! We heard some folks raving about the daily sweet potato soup, btw. They have more than just hot and cold sandwiches. There are salads and even Italian favorites and pasta dishes. Did I forget their desserts? This is the kind of place you'll want to come back to often -- to try more menu items. Maybe even to become one of their familiar regulars.... Buon appetito!! ”
